RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi holy city of Karbala’s Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn, Hujjat al-Islam Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbala’i said, “Everyone is responsible for their own health and that of others around them.”
The representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani in Karbala added, “Every human being has to take care of the principles and culture of health and to establish a lifestyle based on proper health plans.”
He stated, “The concepts and principles of health must be learned from experts and not from obsolete illusions and traditions in order to deal with the Coronavirus. People must follow the scientific teachings of healthcare professionals and be extremely careful about issues that have no scientific basis.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i called for necessary disease training to be given to families, students and administrative staff and added, “All people in schools, universities, centres and government administrative departments must obtain a certain level of literacy and knowledge in regard to diseases and learn methods to prevent these diseases.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn added, “Citizens must take the advice regarding this disease seriously and not be afraid of the Coronavirus but given that it has spread to advanced countries and even to neighbouring countries, we must be warned over the Coronavirus.”
It’s worth mentioning that the total number of people with the Coronavirus in the world now is 88,831 people, out of which 78,824 are Chinese nationals.
The number of deaths in the world has also been reported at 2,867, of which 2,788 have been in China.
According to official reports, out of the total number of people infected with the virus, 36,436 have been treated so far.
