A Pakistani scholar stressed:
A prominent religious scholar in Pakistan, stressing the special attention of Islam to women’s part in the society, said, “In the era girls were buried alive, some unprecedented rights were conferred upon women by Islam.”

RNA - Raqib Hussain, a prominent Pakistan religious scholar, in the course of a seminar held about women, mentioning that women are highly valued by Islam, said, “In the era of ignorance, when women were buried alive, Islam granted them some unprecedented rights.”

The seminar was jointly held by the supreme council of higher education of Pakistan and the department of women studies of Punjab University in Lahore.

Raqib Hussain added, “Women both, as parents and wives, are highly valued by Islam. Moreover they also enjoy some rights that they deserve.”
