RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Gholamreza Bahrami, the director of the Women’s Islamic Seminaries of Esfahan Province, stated that more than 500 women seminarians in Esfahan are working in a jihadi manner to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) by producing of hygienical items, including sewing masks, footwear, hospital gowns and also work in the field of counseling, media and online.
He said, “From the beginning of the outbreak of the Coronavirus, the women seminarians entered the battlefield and at the present time, seventy women seminarians are working with the jihadi camp of the Islamic Seminaries of Esfahan Province at three levels of patient support at the Silk Garden Rehabilitation Centre, the sewing of masks and the distribution of disinfectants in order to help people.”
Hujjat al-Islam Bahrami added, “A number of women jihadi seminarians, under environmental health supervision and complete protective medical gear carried out ghusl (ablution), shrouding and burial of the victims of the Coronavirus.”
His Eminence noted, “With the intention of health and hastening the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi and protecting the people from disasters, the women’s seminaries have started the good tradition of sacrificing animals and fourteen sacrificial sheep have been distributed among the needy.”
Hujjat al-Islam Bahrami stated that the women seminarians have also included online cultural and spiritual activities in their agenda and added, “Among the measures taken include spiritual programs such as the recitation of supplications and Quran online, the preparation of nutritional food packages for seminarians and people in need, providing and removing doubts about the Coronavirus online, reciting the seventh supplication of Sahifah al-Sajjadiyyah [Scripture of Sajjad], visiting patients and comforting the medical staff.”
