The temporary prayer leader of Tehran said, “During the days of White Days of Rajab, the people can whip up the sea of divine mercy and keep tribulations away from man performing the Amal Umm Dawoud and seeking the help of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra.” RNA – Ayatollah Kazem Seddiqi, the temporary Friday prayer leader of Tehran, posted a voice message online on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali, saying, “The position of Commander of the Faithful is the position of the greatest name and is an absolute manifestation for the beautiful and exalted names of the Almighty Lord.”
His Eminence pointed out that Imam Ali is the mystery of God and continued, “Imam Ali is the truth of the Quran and Islam. He is the guardian of the religion and the insurer of the law. The command of Imam Ali has penetrated the heavens and earth because the absolute divine guardianship is hidden in his existence.”
He also referred to the current situation in Iran and the world as difficult and added, “The ominous Coronavirus is a devastating calamity which has taken victims from the people of the world and deprives them of psychological security which has caused anxiety, worry, and disquietude which is worse than victimhood.”
Referring to the “White Days” of the blessed month of Rajab, Ayatollah Seddiqi offered advice based on the verses of the Quran and narrations, “We must not forget to perform the set of deeds known as Amal Umm Dawoud. In recent years, the youths in the mosques and universities were performing the Amal Umm Dawoud before the Lord together with loud cries.”
His Eminence added, “Unfortunately, with the outbreak of this tribulation, itikaf (retreat) ceremonies weren’t held but the Amal Umm Dawoud can be performed individually. Dear youths, engage in prayer during these three days, call upon God at dawn and come to his portal, take the family of the Prophet Muhammad as an intermediate before God and cry and seek repentance before God and ask Him to turn this spreading catastrophe into mercy!”
He said that Du’a Nour (the Supplication of Light) was highly recommended for the prevention and treatment of fever and stated, “These supplications aren’t fiction but rather all these supplications have been experienced and are the advice of the Ahl al-Bayt.”
In conclusion, Ayatollah Seddiqi noted, “We hope that by reciting Ziyarat Ashura, performing he Amal Umm Dawoud and seeking the help of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra, the sea of divine mercy will be whipped up and God will bring about the emergence of Imam al-Mahdi and relieve the plight of the people.”
