RNA – Speaking at a meeting with the youth political deputy of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Birjand, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Alireza Ebadi, the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in South Khorasan province, referred to the recent riots over the increased price of gasoline in Iran and said, “In the recent events in the country, many facts were made clear to the people.”
His Eminence explained that we need to help people so they can understand the situation and said, “The enemy is the Great Satan [the United States] and according to their own statements, they have always had ‘all options on the table’ for a military war with Iran.”
He added, “If the enemies seek to deceive us will cause us to harm ourselves. For the past forty years since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the enemies have also been faced with defeat.”
Hujjat al-Islam Ebadi said, “The enemies are trying to overthrow the Islamic system under various pretexts but they have been defeated due to the insight of the people and the massive marches by the people thwarted the plots of the enemies and their internal accomplices.”
The Friday prayer leader of Birjand continued, “In the recent events, the enemies attempted to overthrow the Islamic system under the pretext of the increased price of gasoline but their plan to overthrow the system didn’t work and people, along with the military and security forces, worked hard to reduce the effect of the events.”
His Eminence noted that the sedition of 2009 lasted for eight months and the sedition of 2017-2018 lasted for six days but the insightful people provided a response this year’s sedition in two days.
Hujjat al-Islam Ebadi said, “The tyranny of the arrogant powers of the world ricochets against them and the enemies are seeking to create new sedition every day but the insight of the people has decreased the distance between the these seditious events.”
He added, “Taking revenge against the people and destruction of public and private property were among the enemies’ plans but they failed in this plan and passive defence must be taken seriously.”
