RNA – Speaking to a group of journalists in South Khorasan province, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad-Baqer Ebadi referred to the Iranian new year of 1398 which the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, dubbed, “The Year of Boosting Production” and said, “‘Boosting Production’ is one of the important and fundamental points that the Supreme Leader made.”
The representative of the people of Birjand, Darmian and Khosf in South Khorasan province in the Islamic Consultative Assembly stressed that the enemies also targeted the economy of the country and said, “Production is a pillar of the economy, and if production is boosted and if executive agencies rethink their behaviour towards manufacturers and factories, certainly the employment environment will improve and administrative bureaucracy will decrease.”
He stated, “Unfortunately, we face unnecessary imports into the country. Therefore, these imports must be limited and imports must be those that are necessary.”
Hujjat al-Islam Ebadi said, “Unfortunately, there is no culture of purchasing Iranian goods and some are just looking for foreign goods. Last year’s slogan [‘Support for Iranian Products’], along with the slogan of this year, must not be forgotten, and by boosting production, we can overcome the economic war.”
His Eminence considered the withdrawal of the United States from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to be one of the most important events of the past year and stated, “With its withdrawal from the JPCOA, the United States demonstrated its nature more than ever before.”
Expressing that Islamic Iran is facing the most difficult economic war, he added, “The United States is witnessing damage in the long- and medium term, and their soft power is diminishing. The United States has violated international standards and its soft power has been badly damaged.”
Hujjat al-Islam Ebadi said, “The Iranian people saw Iran was adhering to international law and that Iran fulfilled its duties but that the West and the United States are not committed to any law.”
