Rasa – Ayatollah Ka’bi said that we must understand the meaning, concepts, and principles of Imam al-Husayn’s movement and added, “Freedom from ignorance, corruption and the acquisition of power and its application to confront the enemies can be clearly seen in Imam al-Husayn’s movement.”
RNA – Speaking at a ceremony marking the commemoration of Imam al-Husayn at the Imam al-Husayn Islamic Cultural Centre in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz, Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi argued that the tenth day of the month of Muharram is a fateful and historic day in the life of humankind in general and in the mission of Islam in particular and noted, “The movement of the ‘Master of the Martyrs’ is a human, rooted, civilizational, reformational, peaceful, moral, educational, jihadi, adaptable to all periods, eternal, complete and is being exported. It inspires awakeness, victory, support for the oppressed and fighting against oppression in all ages.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said that we must understand the meaning, concepts, and principles of Imam al-Husayn’s movement, added, “Freedom from ignorance, corruption and the acquisition of power and its application to confront the enemies can be clearly seen in Imam al-Husayn’s movement.”
Referring to the fact that serving Imam al-Husayn is not limited to mourning ceremonies, he said, “Guiding and protecting people, resolving needs, removing that which is detested and distancing oneself from problems at the current time is service to Imam al-Husayn, who brings together all tribes, races and ethnicities.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi described Imam al-Husayn as belonging to all the free people of the world and said, “The Wahhabis are the Kharijites of the time, the oppressors of Muhammad and his family and the followers of the Umayyad line, so we must, in addition to following the Master of the Martyrs, disassociate from the Umayyads of today – Daesh and the Takfiris of Wahhabism and those supported by the House of Saud.”
The representative of the people of Khuzestan in the Assembly of Experts continued, “The flag of Imam al-Husayn is the flag of the defence of human rights, progress, the advancement of humanity, the salvation of mankind from the darkness of ignorance, corruption and oppression. If the school of this noble man is the school of jihad, chivalry, martyrdom, resistance, mercy, divine vastness, jurisprudence, divine law and interaction with mankind with love and affection is the source of divine favour, forgiveness and the gate of the salvation of Islam.”
In another part of his speech, he described an Islamic government, stating, “Such a government is for the people and by the people and they must endure the problems and solve them and be prudent in serving the people.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi called for the attention of the federal and provincial government officials to solve the problems of unemployment, costliness, discrimination, poverty and ignorance facing the Iranian people and said, “Most of our problems are not related to sanctions and the United States but are the result of the mismanagement and the weakness of the officials. The Messenger of God [Muhammad] also states in a hadith that ‘fear comes from imprudence, not poverty.’”
His Eminence identified the enemies’ plans, preparedness for jihad and the support of the Islamic Resistance Axis are other sources that can be learned from the school of Imam al-Husayn.
