Rasa – The secretary of the High Council of the Islamic Seminaries said that the harder we work, the greater our reward will be with God and added, “Martyr Mohsen Hojjaji sacrificed everything he had in the way of God.”
Ayatollah Ostadi-Moghadam

RNA – Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Husayn on the eighth night of Muharram, Ayatollah Reza Ostadi-Moghadam, the head of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s Office in Qom, said that the harder we work, the greater our reward will be with God and added, “Those who come from far away places to visit the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah are different from us who leave our houses to visit the shrine and their reward is greater.”

The secretary of the High Council of the Islamic Seminaries pointed out that the person who avoids sin where the means for committing sins has been laid out before them has a greater reward than a person who doesn’t sin in a place where the means for sinning hasn’t been laid out before them.

Stressing that in the world today, it’s very difficult to avoid sin, he said, “Today, the tools of sin  have come into our homes and there are tools of sin in everyone’s pocket and if a young person who is drowning in the fire of lust wants to avoid sin, he will receive a double reward.”

Ayatollah Ostadi-Moghadam pointing out that various organizations are responsible for preventing the spread of sin in the country, added, “The religion itself has called upon the youth not to sin and if all these organizations do not perform their duties, the youth have a duty to protect himself and God has placed this power in mankind.”

Speaking at the ceremony in which young people were present, the member of the Assembly of Experts said, “We must try to increase the insight and knowledge of the youth in regard to their duties. Nothing is more beloved by God than a young man who returns to Him and when something is beloved by God, God will not leave him alone.”

He argued that the youth should be scientifically engaged in research and teaching, said, “The enemies always strive to distance the youth from religion and knowledge but the youth must not forget servitude to God and to strive toward advancing themselves and their country.”

Ayatollah Ostadi-Moghadam emphasized that today, many doubts in regard to Shi’ah mourning rituals questions have been raised, so the rewards of our mourning will be even greater.

Referring to the martyrdom of Martyr Mohsen Hojjaji, who was beheaded by the Takfiri Daesh terror group in Syria on August 7 and beheaded two days later, His Eminence stated, “Martyr Hojjaji was also a young man from these young people who passed through these same issues as they have in the way of God. It has been narrated that the most popular creation to God is the young person who is who sacrifices his or her beauty and youth on the path of God.”

The teacher in the Islamic Seminary said that another factor in the love of God is the love for the Ahlul-Bayt and added, “Mourning for Imam Husayn should be part of the knowledge and understanding of Imam Husayn and must be the cause of one’s actions. Thus, mourning in which one does not act in accordance with the commands of God does not lead towards proximity to God.”
