RNA – Addressing a group of high-ranking military commanders in the Iranian province of Khuzestan on Tuesday, senior Shi’ah cleric Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad-Ali Mousavi-Jazayeri asserted that mourning days of the month of Muharram provide an opportunity for us to review the events which happened during the eight-year-long the Iran-Iraq war.
“The events that took place following the holy war such as the issue of terrorism, pose a major threat to the whole world today. The centre of these threats are located in the Middle East, especially near the Muslim countries of Iran, Iraq, Syria Lebanon, Palestine as well as Afghanistan,” the cleric added.
Ayatollah Mousavi-Jazayeri further reiterated that Syrian crisis began as a result of this country’s resistance against Israel and said, “The enemies of Islam initiated their plots in Syria since it was the main basis of Islamic resistance against the Zionist regime. The terrorists’ doctrine of Takfirism also has its roots in Wahhabi thoughts and doctrine.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] in Khuzestan province said that the end of Daesh is near and said, “Fortunately, the Islamic Resistance Axis have completed their duties in Iraq and Syria, so the Takfiri terrorists will soon disappear from these countries altogether.”
