The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah stressed that the officials must pay attention to the rightful demands of the people and said, “The United States and accomplices of the arrogant powers had been plotting before for this sedition for a long time.” RNA – Speaking at a demonstration by the people of Qom in condemnation of the unrest and insecurity which have taken place throughout Iran over the past week due to the increase of the price of gasoline, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi addressed the enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the rioters and said, “These people have come to tell you ill-wishers of this revolution and this system that you anti-revolutionary scum are insignificant and you oppose this Islamic system because it has its roots in the beliefs and adherence to wilayah (guardianship) and the Shi’ah authorities.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah, said, “This good tree isn’t shaking with the unrest and winds but rather the protectors of the tree of wilayah will force you aggressors against the sanctities of wilayah and imamate out and counter the evildoers.”
He stated that the American, European and Israeli leaders had spent large amount of money over a long period of time planning the unrest and said, “You have seen that the presence of the public on the scene over the last few days has destroyed all these plans and has made the plotting of the enemies ineffective.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi referred to the statement of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) at the beginning of his dars al-kharij class in regard to the increased price of gasoline and said, “These words had a great effect in the neutralization of the sedition and demonstrated that he acted in very wise, courageous and self-sacrificing manner. By separating the ranks, he distanced the ploys and acts of deception of the enemies from the tree of the Islamic Revolution.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader in Qom stressed, “You people must know that this unrest and the factors involved in it was different in terms of breadth and complexity from all other acts of unrest over the past forty years. In fact, this sedition is a package that has been perpetrated to destroy the Islamic Resistance Front in the region, including in Iraq and Lebanon and the pillar of the tent of Islamic Resistance – Iran. However, we saw that the believing and loyal people bravely came to the fore despite the complexities.”
He praised the military and law enforcement agencies over the past few days and stated, “In fact, the security and law enforcement agencies protected our people from the evildoers and put them in their place.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi stressed, “The officials and managers of the country must know that our dear people have rightful demands and have statements worth listening to and their question is why the price of gasoline was made on the birth anniversaries of the Prophet Muhammad and Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq and why was the rate set at such a high level.”
His Eminence added, “We accept the difference of opinion between experts but why should such a shock should be imposed on the people? Why has the prosperity of production been so slow to materialize? And why has the implementation of the Resistance Economy been so slow? Why do your officials and like-minded people look to the outside world and to foreigners so much and why don’t you open arenas for young people to enter?”
