Ayatollah Arafi said, “Today, unity is an urgent need of the Islamic ummah and today the ummah is suffering from many problems and Islamic Unity Week.” RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi referred to the birth anniversaries Prophet Muhammad and Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq and said, “In the past, the prophethood of the Prophet of Islam was part of the beliefs of all those who sought God throughout the world and infinite knowledge and wisdom was only given to the Prophet of Islam through the Quran.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran commemorated Islamic Unity Week and said, “Today, unity is an urgent need of the Islamic ummah and today the ummah is suffering from many problems and Islamic Unity Week calls us toward convergence and thwarts the enemies conspiracies.”
He emphasized that unity is based on Islamic principles and the needs of the Islamic ummah and added, “As a nation, we have common thoughts we also have much in common in regard to the Islamic systems, rituals and interests. These three issues are the foundations of the unity of the Islamic ummah and with more than 1.5 million adherents and sublime values, why has the Islamic ummah been captured by the enemies in this manner and has been scattered in the flood of the enemies?”
Ayatollah Arafi emphasized the need to address the commonalities among the Islamic ummah and added, “Our three common foundations invite us to unity and convergence and the Islamic ummah must have a common scientific, technological and economic market and unite against the occupiers and enemies. These days, our beloved Palestine is under attack from the enemies.”
The jurisprudent member of the Guardian Council emphasized that the Islamic ummah must be united and be present on the scene in such a way as to keep the enemies away from their lands.
He referred to the need to combat corruption and added, “The work that the judiciary started must be taken seriously. The fight against corruption must be comprehensive and the government must pursue it in all departments and processes.”
Concerning Israel’s bombing of the Gaza Strip, Ayatollah Arafi said, “The Palestinians and the Islamic Resistance Front will stand against the Zionist’s and God-willing, with their defeat, their wishes will be sent to their graves.”
His Eminence noted, “The enemies must know that the Islamic Resistance Axis and the discourse of the Islamic Revolution will lead us to unity that will destroy all their dreams.”
