RNA – In a lecture delivered in Mahdieh, Tehran, Hujjat al-Islam Alireza Panahian, the custodian of Tehran’s Dar al-Hikmah Seminary, said, “The Imam and the Ummah have a close relationship.”
The renowned Iranian lecturer said that there are special bonds between the members of an ummah, adding, “The members of an ummah feel responsible for each other and receive security but if they aren’t members of an ummah there won’t be any prejudice, honour and sympathy between them, even though many slogans about issues such as altruism were shouted.
Hujjat al-Islam Panahian said that having fewer children is one of the reasons for the breakdown of family ties among members of society, saying, “The destruction of family ties is one of the filthy goals of the Zionist regime to destroy the identity of humankind, such as that which they have achieved in the West.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary added, “One of the slogans of the West last year was that we have the right to know who our father is. In Western societies the law doesn’t necessitate that people should know their father. By adopting such laws, they want to destroy the family identity of the people, which is a serious human problem.”
Pointing out that the Arba’in program must not be limited to the Arba’in pilgrimage itself but the people of Arba’in must be brought together during the year, he added, “The people of Arba’in must establish the night of remembrance of Arba’in and strive to establish a united ummah. Arba’in is organizer of the central core of a united ummah.”
Hujjat al-Islam Panahian said the only way to save Muslims from the current situation is through the establishment of a single ummah and noted, “If Muslims were united into a single ummah they could easily change their lifestyle. Being a part of an ummah gives an identity and fills human vacancies and this is a source of pride.”
His Eminence said, “The enemies created Daesh and Takfiri terrorist group so that Muslims wouldn’t be proud of their Islamic identity but in this same era, God created Arba’in so that Muslims would be proud of Muslims. On the day of Ashura last year, a large crowd of mourners mourned on the streets of London.”
