Ayatollah Sa’idi emphasized that officials, artists and institutions must build bulwarks on the cultural front because the enemies are stubbornly targeting the beliefs and culture of society. RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi referred to the opposition of the arrogant powers to Islam and said, “The polytheists have trouble with the principle of Islam and Islamic governments and seek to overthrow them. As long as the polytheists continue their hostile stance, we have no choice but to resist and confront them and negotiations and agreements such as the ‘2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’ lead to their domination over us.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah referred to the various religious occasions of the past week and added, “These occasions, as well as the birth anniversary of Imam Musa al-Kadhim and Eid al-Ghadir, are good opportunities to take the Ahl al-Bayt as role models in order to prove our Shi’ism and affection. Ghadir is important and must remain because it has lessons and examples for us, such as obedience to wilayah (guardianship).”
Ayatollah Sa’idi said, “Ghadir teaches us that if Muslims don’t abide by their covenants, there are people who will make the situation more difficult for the Islamic ummah. Due to the blessings of the Islamic system in Iran, the Commander of the Faithful [Imam Ali] is honoured and we must pay attention to its messages because opposition to Ghadir means opposition to God, the Prophet, the Ahl al-Bayt and, in the era of the occultation of Imam al-Mahdi, it means opposition to Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of Jurisprudent). We are determined to remain steadfast in our beliefs to the wilayah of the Prophet.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader in Qom continued, “When the enemies couldn’t defeat us on the military and economic fronts and witnessed our advancement and the flourishing of our talents, they aimed their attacks at the culture of our society and sought to create doubts in the minds of the people regarding issues such as chastity and the hijab and want to incite shallow passions and turn the youth, who are the capital of the system, toward worthless passions.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi stressed that the main front of the enemies’ activities is regarding cultural issues and said, “Officials of the system, artists and institutions must create bulwarks on the cultural front because the enemies are stubbornly targeting the beliefs and culture of the society. The haters of the Islamic Revolution must realize that the warriors on the cultural front, the Basijis and the Iranian people are crippling and defeating the enemies in this arena.”
