RNA – Grand Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani met with Commander Yaqoub Soleymani, the head of the Organization for the Renewal of the Event of Ghadir and expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Commander Soleymani in this regard and said, “The renewal of the event of Ghadir is a very valuable and blessed action.”
Eid al-Ghadir is among important feasts and happy holidays of Shi’ah. It’s celebrated on 18 Dhul-Hijjah, when, according to reports, the noble Prophet Muhammad appointed Ali ibn Abi Talib as his caliph and the Imam after himself following an order from God.
The revered source of emulation added, “Certainly, the actions of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are really valuable and the IRGC and the people who are active in this great centre are a source of pride for Iran and have strengthened the Islamic system.”
Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani emphasized that we must invite others to wilayah (guardianship) through our actions and said, “In this case, our work will be more profitable. Today, if we can demonstrate the quality of wilayah through art and performance, it will have a greater impact because the completion of our religion and all our blessings are in wilayah.”
Wilayah or guardianship is the belief in the Imamate of the Ahl al-Bayt and loving them, following and obeying them in religion and their deeds.
Noting the need to spread the wilayah of the Ahl al-Bayt around the world, His Eminence said, “God promises that he will spread his religion in the light of wilayah around the world. Of course, first the arena is under the control of others but eventually, it will be in the hands of its rightful owners.”
Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani stated that the blessing of wilayah is among the greatest blessings of God for mankind and explained, “Even throughout history, the enemies and opponents of the Ahl al-Bayt have come toward guardianship due to our righteous deeds. This has great value, just as Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq said, ‘Invite people to us without your tongue and with your action so that when they see you, they are well-reminded of Ja’far ibn Muhammad.’”
