Hujjat al-Islam ‎Akbari said, “If you use the Hajj’s capacity to create a movement around the ‎world, you will see how it ‎can advance the goals and interests of the Muslim worl‎d.” ‎

RNA – The fourth commemoration of the Martyrs of Mina of Alborz province, entitled “White ‎Tulips,” was held at the Central Mosque of the city of Meshkindasht. A large number of ‎passionate people and members of the families of those martyred in Mina participated in the ‎conference. ‎

On September 24, 2015 an event described as a “crush and stampede” caused the deaths of ‎more than 2,400 pilgrims during the annual Hajj pilgrimage in Mina, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. At ‎least 464 Iranians lost their lives during the incident. ‎
‎ ‎
Hujjat al-Islam Mir-Ali Akbari, a prominent narrator of the Sacred Defence [Iran-Iraq War] in ‎Iran, said, “Traveling to Makkah and performing the Hajj rituals must not take place without ‎paying attention to political issues and the objective of the Hajj isn’t just a pilgrimage and a ‎tour.” ‎

His Eminence continued, “During the Sacred Defence, these young people were shining ‎brightly and today these young people ‎are also defending the values and they are in the ‎middle of a battlefield and we must consider this model everywhere in the management of ‎the country.”‎

He stressed that if we didn’t sacrifice for Islam and the Islamic Revolution and didn’t sacrifice ‎and offer martyrs, it wouldn’t be clear if there would be anything left of Islam and Muslims ‎today and added, “The youth who didn’t witness the Sacred Defence must know that the that ‎war the enemies have designed for us today is an ideological war and one must be very ‎careful in this war.”‎
‎ ‎
Referring to the martyrdom of the pilgrims in the Mina incident, Hujjat al-Islam Akbari noted, ‎‎“The Hajj should be the greatest power in the Islamic world but the House of Saud and its ‎allies don’t use this great capacity to create a movement around the world and tried to ‎define the pilgrimage as only an act of spiritual worship without political and social goals. If ‎you use the Hajj’s capacity to create a movement around the world, you will see how it can ‎advance the goals and interests of the Muslim world.”‎
