The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said that we must place the way of life of the ‎Ahl al-Bayt at the forefront of our work.‎

RNA – In a speech before the Friday prayer sermon held at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Hujjat ‎al-Islam Majid Heydarifar, a teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom, referred to the Holy ‎Quran and said, “One of the obligations of the Friday prayers is to invite the prayer-goers ‎toward piety but because the Friday prayer leaders have many issues to present, they ‎present a theme in inviting the people to piety.”‎

He added, “According to the usage of the Arabs and in the verses of the Holy Quran and in ‎narrations, taqwa or piety doesn’t mean to fear and avoid. One of the most important ‎reasons in this regard is verse 56 of Surah al-Muddaththir. This verse says that God is worthy ‎of our being wary of Him and of granting forgiveness. Is God worthy of us fearing him and ‎abstaining from him? It also isn’t correct to say that God is worthy of us fearing Him and ‎abstaining from Him ‎because God is the most merciful of the merciful and we must gain ‎closeness to Him.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam Heydarifar‎ considered the purpose of human creation as gaining closeness to ‎God and said, “According to the Holy Quran, the meaning of piety is to have faith in the ‎unseen, to establish and to revive prayer and to benefit from divine days. A living prayer is ‎prayer which keeps society away from corruption.”‎

His Eminence said, “Piety means care and protection. The pious are those who are careful ‎not to err and sin. If the mind and heart of a person are polluted, he can’t transverse the ‎path of happiness properly. The pious must be careful not to pollute his thought, heart or ‎belief.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam Heydarifar stated that we must place the way of life of the Ahl al-Bayt at the ‎forefront of our work and stated, “One of the great models of piety is Imam Muhammad al-‎Baqir, whom the beloved Prophet of Islam [Muhammad] called ‘Baqir al-Uloum’ [the Splitter ‎of Knowledge].”‎
