RNA – During his visit to the headquarters of Rasa News Agency on August 3rd, Ayatollah Mohsen Faqihi spoke about the position of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said, “The late founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeyni, and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, designated for the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom to oversee the affairs of the state and the state as well as political, social and cultural affairs, meaning all the ministers and the various departments concerned with the system supervise in order to warn the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom if something goes against Islam.”
He stated that the activities of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom are in line with the interests of the Islamic system and it’s in the best interest to protect the Islamic system and implement that which is considered by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] and added, “The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom is carefully striving to move on the line of the Supreme Leader and not engage in those issues which haven’t received the satisfaction of the Supreme Leader.”
Ayatollah Faqihi said, “If members of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom give hidden reminders and advice, this doesn’t mean that members of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom don’t work and aren’t active, but rather many activities of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom aren’t stated because sometimes the people don't know the expediency.”
The head of the Dar al-Thaqalayn Wali al-Asr Institute added, “This is in the interest of Islam and Muslims and following the Supreme Leader is, the red line of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, which is pursued by this supreme religious institution, and the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom doesn’t seek to express issues.”
He said, “After the Supreme Leader and the sources of imitation, the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom has the highest position. The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom has more than fifty years of experience and has taken effective and positive steps in regard to the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Seminaries. For the past fifty years until now, the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom has accompanied the Islamic Revolution and such an important institution must be preserved and not weakened.”
Ayatollah Faqihi stressed, “The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom has no objective other than the implementation of revolutionary Islam. Scholars and mujtahids must follow the Ahl al-Bayt and “following” means to implement revolutionary Islam. Islam which is political and revolutionary is Islam which can be the guardian of the Islamic system and pure Islam. We believe that everyone must play a role, that is, the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom must support the Supreme Leader and the sources of emulation, and the seminarians, the teachers and the virtuous people must support the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom in order to achieve Islamic and revolutionary goals.”
In regard to the weakening of the position of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, His Eminence explained, “It’s not a problem for individuals to express their views but the people, Islamic Seminaries and seminarians recognize what constitutes critical and destructive criticism of the evolution of the Islamic Seminaries. The people and seminarians know that when certain people criticize, they seek destruction rather than to reform affairs.”
He noted, “The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom treats everyone well and expresses affection. The members of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom seek to reform and strengthen the Islamic Seminaries because strengthening the Islamic Seminaries strengthens the system and the Supreme Leader leads to the strengthening of Islam.”
Ayatollah Faqihi said, “The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom is active in this regard, and the purpose of this great institution is to protect the lofty position, authority and personality of the sources of emulation, as the sources of emulation have a very important and high position which must be protected.”
