RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Pakistani city of Lahore, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Jawad Naqvi stated that Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated that he appreciates and agrees with American President Donald Trump’s plan for peace in Afghanistan and said, “It has been reported that Prime Minister Khan praised Trump’s plan in a formal gathering and accepted that plan. In this peace plan, Trump has said that in order to achieve peace in Afghanistan, the United States needs cooperation from Pakistan. He openly stated in front of the media that for this plan to succeed, ten million people would have to die in both Afghanistan and Pakistan. This is his vision for peace and his actual plan. He said that he doesn’t want to implement this plan but desires that Pakistan cooperate in order to establish peace in Afghanistan.”
The principal of Jami’at Urwat al-Wuthqa Islamic Seminary in Lahore referred to the volatile situation in Afghanistan, saying, “There are many factions in Afghanistan – there are the Taliban and the secularists and there are also various ethnic groups such as the Pashtuns, Tajiks, Hazaras and Uzbeks and they are all like fire and water to each other. It’s impossible to establish peace with foreign intervention. There is only one way they can establish peace that is to leave them on their own, then only either by fighting or by negotiations they will resolve their internal issues and they may divide Afghanistan amongst themselves to establish peace. Peace can’t be established in Afghanistan through Trump’s peace plan and instead, Afghanistan will be used as a depot to create insecurity in Pakistan, China, Iran and other places.”
Hujjat al-Islam Naqvi continued, saying, “This is the reason that the United States has pulled out all their Daesh forces from Syria and Iraq, they have moved the Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO), the group that they have supported against Iran, to Afghanistan. Trump’s plan isn’t to create peace but to create insecurity and violence in other countries. He only wants Pakistan to act as a mediator with the Taliban for him. If Trump really wants peace, then it’s only in one place – namely Israel – where he wants peace. Trump never wants to see Pakistan, the Arab nations or Iran in peace. In regard to Yemen, the United States Congress has put restrictions on American arms factories to supply weapons to Saudi Arabia but Trump vetoed it. This is Trump’s practical plan which is currently operational.”
The Pakistani scholar referred to the United States’ imposition of sanctions on Mohammad Javad-Zarif, the Foreign Affairs Minister of Iran, and Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, said, “Tensions between the United States and Iran are increasing and Trump has taken steps which are a great mockery. This is the peace plan of Trump. Mr. Zarif’s bank accounts will be frozen and if any other country establishes a relationship with him, the United States will put restrictions on those countries as well. A greater mockery than this is that two weeks before these restrictions were imposed on Mr. Zarif, Trump imposed sanctions on the Supreme Leader. This means, theoretically, that the Supreme Leader won’t be able to obtain a visa to go to the United States, his assets in the United States are frozen and anyone who does business with the Supreme Leader will also come under restrictions. You can see how mentally paralyzed Trump is and he is running the global system!”
Referring to the current events in in Kashmir, His Eminence said, “India has announced that its deploying another 10,000 armed forces to Kashmir and there are already more than 100,000 forces present there. They are deploying more forces because India has realized that they need to act like Israel to resolve the issue of Kashmir in the way that Israel has handled Palestine. Kashmir is the only state which has a special status. For example, a non-Kashmiri [someone living in another Indian state] can’t buy property in Kashmir.”
Hujjat al-Islam Naqvi added, “Since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of India, he has wanted to suspend Kashmir’s special status and he can do this through the Assembly and the Supreme Court. He can challenge this law in the Assembly since his Bharatiya Janata Party has a majority and the Supreme Court has also given many rulings in Modi’s favour previously. If this law is suspended then the land of Kashmir will become open to all and Kashmiri’s will then have to wash their hands of Kashmir. Capitalists from India, non-resident Indians and even foreigners would be ready to buy land in Kashmir at expensive rates. The importance of this land is very high, because of the natural beauty and bounties that God has created there for which people will pay a heavy price.”
