RNA - Another course of the evening sessions, held in Imam Kazim (AS) Seminary on the jurisprudential foundations of the punishment for electronic theft, was presented by Hujjat al-Islam Ahmadi.
In the opening of the session, Hujat al-Islam Ahmadi presented his views and said, “Our discussion encompasses whatever theft made using computer”.
He added, “In the analysis of cyber theft, the theft of banking accounts, the customary financial data like research files, and non-financial date such as personal photos are examined, and the Islamic Penal Code has determined two discretionary custodial punishments in this regard”.
Pointing to the conditions of making theft, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmadi said, “there should be no doubt over the stolen object, i.e., the stolen property shouldn’t be regarded as the property of the thief”.
In the session, the participants asked their questions and Hujjat al-Islam Ahmadi answered them.
