Rasa – Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani said that the clergy must use the opportunity of the 15th of Sha’ban to introduce the Imam of Time and said, “The clergy must not neglect opportunities to propagate religion.” RNA – In a meeting with a group of members of the Mahdavi Society, Grand Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani offered his appreciation and thanks for the activities of this organization and referred to the upcoming birth anniversary of the twelfth and final infallible Imam, Muhammad al-Mahdi, and said, “On an occasion like the 15th of Sha’ban, individuals must try to the gather the people to participate in public gatherings because they have a worldly and social aspect.”
The renowned source of emulation emphasized that the Mahdavi Society must make use of the opportunity to propagate religion and said, “If the Infallible Imams said that opportunities must be taken advantage of and the 15th of Sha’ban is an opportunity where truthful material must be expressed.”
Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani continued, “Propagating religion requires a means and in God created a means for this on the 15th of Sha’ban and the clergy must make use of these opportunities.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said, “It’s the duty of the clergy to guard the people. Organizations such as the Mahdavi Society must focus more on spiritual issues and the introduction of the Imam of Time and the accommodation of other issues must not lead to heedlessness in regard to issues of spirituality.”
He emphasized that the benefactors must also be involved in the 15th of Sha’ban celebrations and stated, “Charity will help in this regard. In regard to the recent flood, the people and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have assisted the flood victims. The people of Iran are a noble people who not only gave their property for the Ahl al-Bayt but also their lives.”
Referring to verses from the Holy Quran, Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani said, “God Almighty says in the Holy Quran that at any time, He directs a group of people and we clergy must remind the people and not let them return with empty hands.”
