RNA – The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom expressed its sympathy with the flood victims in the northern provinces of Iran, emphasizing, “It’s necessary for all authorities and relief agencies to take combative action as soon as possible to eliminate suffering and compensate for damage and not deprive anymore of service.”
Last week, heavy rainfall hit the northern provinces of Mazandaran and Golestan. Rivers and other streams overflowed their banks as a result, in turn flooding cities, towns, villages, and farming communities.
Emergency and rescue organizations are on full alert in different provinces of Iran as heavy rain is predicted to continue to fall in much of the country, especially in the western and southern regions, until Tuesday.
The text of the statement is as follows:
In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
The damaging and painful floods in Golestan and Mazandaran provinces, which led to the damage and destruction of a large number of residences, infrastructure and fields, has created great anguish.
It’s necessary for all authorities and relief agencies to act in a determined manner as soon as possible in order to eliminate suffering and compensate for the damage and not deprive anymore of service.
All of the people of the nation are also invited to coordinate with the relief agencies to assist the dear victims of the floods.
The Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, along with expressing sympathy with the dear victims of the floods and wishing for divine mercy and divine blessings for the victims of this great flood, call on all officials, directors and politicians to devote themselves to the mobilization of forces and facilities with a national and universal perspective irrespective of provincial capabilities and facilities and reduce the suffering of their flood victims and compatriots.
May the peace, mercy and blessings of God be with you,
Mohammad Yazdi
