RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers at the Sayyidah Zaynab Complex in the Beirut suburb of Bir al-Abd, Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Da’moush responded to the trip to the region by Mike Pompeo, the United States Secretary of State, saying, “Pompeo has traveled to Lebanon and he had previously stated in the Occupied Territories that he fully supports the Zionist regime.”
The vice-president of the Executive Council of Hezbollah said that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, considered the Golan Heights as belonging to and as the right of Israel and added, “The United States’ first priority in the region is to support and protect the interests of the occupying Zionist regime.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Da’moush stated, “What is the expectation of the Lebanese people after the United States declared that it fully supports the Zionist regime and sees the Golan Heights as part of this usurper regime? What expectations do they have of the politicians in Washington? Do these actions, apart from provoking the Islamic Resistance Front, creating internal disputes, increasing pressure on Lebanon and limiting its maritime borders, have any other objective? Do they expect the United States to be a clear and neutral intermediary in drawing the maritime boundaries and the boundaries of the economic region?”
The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric considered the United States as a partner of Israel and said, “The United States has supported the Zionist occupation regime in all of its wars even against Lebanon and Washington can never be honestly neutral on issues that are on the side of the Israeli adventure.”
He said that the United States and Israel are seeking to steal oil from Lebanon and added, “The Lebanese people must adopt equal positions to draw boundaries and not follow American policies, which are the same as the policies of the Zionist regime.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Da’moush continued, “After suffering various defeats in the region, the United States has now begun to change its stance in the face of sedition and civil war. Anyone who thinks of national interests must condemn the actions of the United States and not believe their promises.”
