Rasa – The revered source of emulation stated that the United States and Europe must not be trusted and emphasized that a little softness will lead to blackmail and excesses by the enemies. RNA – In a meeting with Mohammad-Javad Zarif, Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani emphasized that the United States and Europe aren’t reliable and trustworthy and added, “Foreign policy must be based on three principles of dignity, wisdom and expediency.”
The revered source of emulation made recommendations to Mr. Zarif and added, “What must be considered in foreign policy is the three principles of dignity, wisdom and expediency that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] emphasizes and steps must be taken in this direction.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani emphasized, “Our policy is based on Quranic and Islamic culture and on this basis, we have a relationship with the world, except the United States and Israel, and according to these three principles, we must have a plan.”
His Eminence added, “But trust is different from relationships. One must never trust foreigners because, according to the Quran, the non-believers will never stand alongside us because of their imperialistic and colonial mentality.”
He said that in regard to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), we saw that the United States is by no means trustworthy and stated, “Europe is like the United States because it isn’t doesn’t dare oppose them. Therefore, we must be firm and confront them because a little softness will lead to blackmail and excesses and the Supreme Leader said that whenever we demonstrated softness, we were at a loss. Therefore, there must be no further trust in the United States in any manner.”
Referring to the enemies’ investment in promoting Salafism and the Daesh phenomenon, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said, “Today, Saudi Arabia, with the money of the United States, Israel and the United Kingdom, have launched a campaign by spreading Islamophobia, Shiaphobia and Iranophobia and therefore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs must demonstrate the true face of Islam and Shi’ism to the world.”
