RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Pakistani city of Lahore, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Jawad Naqvi referred to the current state of affairs between India and Pakistan and said, “The tension that started between India and Pakistan reached the jaws of war, then it subsided and now the effects are seen on both sides, in India as well as Pakistan. In India, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government and all opposition parties have started a severe confrontation with each other. We have seen on the news that BJP members are hitting each other with shoes inside the country’s parliament.”
The principal of Jami’at Urwat al-Wuthqa Islamic Seminary, said, “As I mentioned in my Friday sermon last week, India has multiple objectives behind its actions in increasing the tensions between it and Pakistan. One element inside the ruling government wants to win elections using this situation. There are other groups who have nothing to do with elections – their purpose is to destroy Pakistan and to create issues inside Pakistan. In India, there is one more group whose target is Muslims in India and isn’t concerned as much with Pakistan.”
He referred to the relationship between Takfiri groups and Saudi Arabia and said, “These terrorist outfits were made under foreign instruction. Muhammad bin Salman is a gangster and not a ruler. Bin Salman is the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia and he has said that through this title, the West has told us to spread the Wahhabi ideology and this extremism is what West desired from us. Today, the West wants Saudi Arabia to conclude this phase and wants it to liberalize Saudi Arabia which they are now doing. In the past, the Saudi rulers were diplomats and would not confess anything openly but since Bin Salman is not a politician but a gangster he has openly made these confessions.”
Hujjat al-Islam Naqvi referred to the source of pressure on Pakistan and said, “India is putting less pressure on Pakistan but more pressure is coming from Pakistan’s allies. Even today Adil al-Jubayr, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, has come to Pakistan. This is the pressure on Pakistan. The United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are all putting pressure on Pakistan. The UAE hosted the 46th Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and invited Sushma Swaraj, Minister of External Affairs of India, to give a give speech in which she condemned Pakistan. These are the friendly nations of Pakistan?”
The Pakistani Shi’ah scholar said. “On the same day of the attack in Pulwama an attack occurred in Zahedan. India blamed Pakistan for the attack and Iran blamed the Pakistani government. The Iranians are also angry but they have not reacted like India. The situation is not good between Iran and Pakistan.”
In regard to other issues, he said that Israel is taking full advantage of ongoing global issues and has kept itself busy in operations against the Palestinian people without any disruption and explained, “Last week, Israeli settlers stormed the al-Aqsa Mosque and tried to destroy it but due to the strong reaction from the Palestinian people, they stopped. Israel is waiting for some big global issue to happen and under that cover, they want to completely finish off al-Aqsa Mosque and then rebuild their temple on that location.”
Hujjat al-Islam Naqvi referred to the Saudi war on Yemen and stated, “In Yemen, the war is severe and at the same time negotiations are also going on. The pressure on the Saudis has also reduced and certain satanic states like the United Kingdom are encouraging Saudi Arabia to enhance its operations in Yemen. Germany has extended an arms embargo on Saudi Arabia due to its aggression in Yemen and now no weapons from Germany will be sold to Saudi Arabia. The United Kingdom is pushing Germany to not impose such restrictions on Saudi Arabia. Every country has something special which is useful in wars. There are certain useful products for war from Germany like heavy machinery which is used for logistics in war. Germany has stopped supplying these weapons as they have been used in Yemen.”
In regard to Venezuela, he explained, “In Venezuela, the conflict of power is going on at peak. The United States and Russia are confronting each other in Venezuela the same way as they did in Syria. The United States was thinking that they would be able to easily oust the current President of Venezuela [Nicolás Maduro] but due to support from Russia and China, they were not able to do this and Maduro’s position current is strong and he is resisting. There is a threat of an attack either from air or through borders. This is a new front that has opened and will have a global effect and specifically, it can affect the Middle East as it is the centre of all crises.”
