Rasa – Ayatollah Arafi said, “After passing through severe hardships, Bashar al-Asad’s visit to Iran was very symbolic and meaningful and unfortunately, we didn’t pay much attention to it.” RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi referred to the visit of Bashar al-Asad, the President of Syria, to Iran and his meeting with Ayatollah Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and stated, “After passing through severe hardships, Bashar al-Asad’s visit to Iran was very symbolic and meaningful and unfortunately, we didn’t pay much attention to it.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran stated, “The entire world came to defeat the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Resistance in Syria and Iraq but the Islamic Resistance movement demonstrated such resistance with a revolutionary spirit that it defeated the enemies in the region. The glory of this trip, allegiance and declaration of loyalty to the Supreme Leader was a symbol of the success of the Iranian people and the Islamic Resistance and we must consider this symbol as important and this presence and interaction on the Islamic Resistance Front will continue through divine blessings and defeat the powerful and arrogant powers.”
Referring to the statement of “The Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution” by the Supreme Leader, he said, “This strategic statement was very important and important steps have been taken in the Islamic Seminaries, universities and the various institutions concerning loyalty to this statement, and all of us, in particular the officials, must come to the fore because this statement marks a new move for the country.”
Ayatollah Arafi said, “One of the key issues in this statement is that the Islamic Revolution initiated a new era. Sometimes, due to the challenges and issues of everyday, we overlooked the authenticity and perspective of the civilization of the Islamic Revolution and sometimes, people deliberately don’t to pay attention to this issue.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said, “The dear Iranian people and the youth have begun a new era in human life that we must appreciate, of course, we must also criticize. Those who don’t follow the firm steps that accompany the Islamic Revolution and stand decisively against corruption, discrimination and problems but we must not forget the authenticity of the Islamic Revolution.”
His Eminence also commemorated the beginning of the month of Rajab and emphasized on benefiting from the opportunities of this blessed month and stated, “During the month of Rajab, we have a very important program called itikaf, which is emphasized on by the Supreme Leader and referred to the statement on the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution. God-willing, this year, we will also witness the significant participation of the youth and the people in the plans of worship, especially itikaf.”
Ayatollah Arafi also referred to Iran’s economic situation and said, “We’re facing a situation where many classes of society are facing serious problems because of the rising prices and difficulties, and in the face of these problems, everyone must cooperate to reduce the burden on the middle classes.”
