RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Na’im Qasim, the deputy secretary-general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Islamic Resistance movement, stated that the positions of the United States in regard to all of the issues in Middle East are cruel, oppressive and are against the interest of the peoples of the region.
The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric noted, “The reason for this is if we rely on the United States to resolve the Palestinian issue, President Donald Trump and other American officials have always emphasized that they are supporters of Israel, and the conspiracy of the ‘Deal of the Century’ also seeks to eliminate the issue of Palestine and the Palestinian people.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim emphasized that the United States would never be able to change the positions of the Islamic Resistance and said, “If we were to wait for the United States to solve the issue of Syria and to solve the issue of the refugees and other problems regarding the war in Syria, we must not forget that the main cause of the war in Syria is the United States and the recruitment and use of Takfiris from different regions who were used by the United States to destroy Syria.”
His Eminence said that the United States has also been the main factor in the prolongation of the war in Syria over a period of seven years, noting, “So far, there has been no solution and it’s possible that it could take several months, or perhaps many years, for the Americans who, at any moment, change their nature and don’t know how to achieve their objectives.”
He added, “The people of the region are opposed to the United States but the United States experiences successive defeats and doesn’t want to admit its defeat and engages in the most brutal ways to achieve its objectives and prevent stability from returning to Syria.”
Referring to the reliance of some of Lebanon’s political movements, in particular the March 14 Alliance, on the Arab Persian Gulf states, Hujjat al-Islam Qasim said, “If we were to rely on some Arab countries in the Persian Gulf region on the basis of them being Arab countries, they would destroy the region from Syria to Yemen and Iraq in the post-war era. They beg the United States for support to keep their thrones, even if the price is their money and the future of the generations and the lives of all of the people in our region.”
