Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri:‎
Rasa – The secretary of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Seminaries said that the current ‎conditions of the Islamic Seminaries aren’t comparable to those of the pre-revolutionary era.‎

RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hoseyni-‎Bushehri responded to the question, “Some of the compassionate and eminent people of ‎the Islamic Seminaries believe that the Seminaries have failed to defend their achievements ‎and introduce their services to society. As the secretary of the Supreme Council of the ‎Seminaries do you accept this claim?” said, “I accept that the Islamic Seminaries haven’t ‎been well introduced.” ‎

In regard to the introduction of the activities of the Islamic Seminaries after the Islamic ‎Revolution, His Eminence replied, “During this time, much work has been done in the Islamic ‎Seminaries. Flawless and perfect work is the work of God and we were obliged to do this, ‎either at the time when I was responsible or at the time when I wasn’t responsible.”‎

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri stated, “Our work is definitely flawed and not perfect and there is ‎no point in discussing this, but we did a good job in terms of what was possible and ‎necessary and what was required given the circumstances. One of the important issues is ‎that the Islamic Seminaries stand alongside the Islamic system of government.”‎

While acknowledging the weakness of the Islamic Seminaries in informing and explaining its ‎activities and achievements, the Friday prayer leader of Qom emphasized, “The current ‎conditions of the Islamic Seminaries aren’t comparable to those of the pre-revolutionary ‎era.”‎
