Rasa – Ayatollah Arafi said that one of the goals pursued by international treaties is to change and assimilate others’ cultures into their culture and undermine their independence and greatness of the nations. We must intelligently and courageously deal with international treaties. RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi referred to the upcoming fortieth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution and said, “Today, the enemies are trying to empty the hearts of the people and separate the people from the Islamic Revolution from all sides and in this regard, all of the arrogant powers resort to physical and virtual means to destroy the great heritage of the Iranian people.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran said, “Referring to the great achievements of the nation in the Islamic Revolution doesn’t mean that today we have no problems and that the officials are faultless. Today, in various fields, especially in regard to the livelihood problems of the people, we face serious weaknesses and these weaknesses must be resolved and we must not allow these weaknesses to distance them from the magnitude of the Islamic Revolution.”
He stated that the main shareholder of the Revolution is the youth and people of Iran who are from all walks and said, “The Iranian people have had a stunning presence in all fields over the past forty years.”
Ayatollah Arafi referred to some of the great achievements of the Revolution and added, “If we set aside all the Islamic and religious logic and establish the indicators of growth and development that are commonly known in the world as our criterion, we still have made huge achievements in health, science, industry, infrastructure, medicine, roads, housing, agriculture, media, defence industries and other fields.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom considered the creation of the modern civilization of the Revolution as its highest achievement and continued, “The Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation brought a new message to the world. Due to the blessings of the Revolution and to divine grace, the cornerstones of a modern civilization must be founded for humanity today. The West doesn’t have the potential for development, if we take this issue into consideration, forty years is as much as one year.”
He emphasized that we must stand up against the problems with a revolutionary spirit and jihad and said, “Due to the grace of God, the Islamic Revolution is continuing its work with greater power after forty years and on the day of 22nd of Bahman [February 11th], this glory will become more manifest and millions of lovers of the Revolution, Islam and the country will be on the scene and all of the illusions of Donald Trump and his mercenaries will be shattered.”
Ayatollah Arafi referred to the recent remarks by the sources of emulation on the issues of culture, politics and economics and said, “The sources of emulation and sympathizers stressed that the officials are expected to pay attention. In the fields of culture, chastity and hijab, important remarks were given to the officials. Although corrections were made, it’s expected that the policies of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] and the sources of emulation in regard to cultural affairs aren’t neglected by the administration and the officials.”
He added, “Just as the Supreme Leader said, there may be seemingly worthwhile international treaties, but one must understand that one of the goals pursued by international treaties is to change and assimilate others’ cultures into their culture and undermine their independence and greatness of the nations. We must intelligently and courageously deal with international treaties.”
Emphasizing that attachment to foreigners and enemies doesn’t achieve anything, the member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution said, “The case of the JCPOA demonstrated that the enemies and the West cannot be trusted. For many months, the Europeans have made empty promises with complete audacity but they don’t act on their promises and the revolutionary patience of the nation and the officials of the country will be too high.”
Referring to the United States’ plots in Venezuela, Ayatollah Arafi said, “The Americans are those who have illegally intervened in Venezuela and have stood against the legitimate government of this country. Americans are those who have imposed cruel sanctions and want to hold a conference against the Iranian nation in Poland.”
His Eminence said, “It was the Americans who illegally arrested the Press TV journalist [Marzieh Hashemi]. This is a chain of the treachery of the United States. Can we reach out to negotiate and sign agreements with them, relying on dear Islam and the jihadi and revolutionary spirit? With the grace of God, we will stand up against the enemies and bring the Revolution to the height of glory.”
