Teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Najaf:‎
Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam al-Tabataba’i al-Hakim said, “Saving religious teachings and promoting ‎it to the Islamic ummah are the main religious reasons to enter the Islamic Seminaries.”‎

RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Husayn al-Tabataba’i al-Hakim, a prominent scholar based in ‎the Iraqi holy city of Najaf, said, “Protecting religious teachings, conveying it to the Islamic ‎ummah and enjoining the good and forbidding the wrong are the main religious reasons to ‎enter the Islamic Seminaries.” ‎

He added, “If this issue isn’t one of the wajibat al-ayni (individual obligations), it’s definitely ‎one of the wajibat al-kifa’i (collective obligations) and also there are enough people in this ‎area, this provision will become an emphasized mustahab (recommended) provision.”‎

Hujjat al-Islam al-Tabataba’i al-Hakim added, “The seminarians and scholars must take these ‎issues seriously and fulfill their duties.”‎

Referring to the hadiths (narrations) in regard to the division and adjustment of time ‎throughout life, His Eminence stated, “The seminarians must not waste their time and ‎dedicate their best time of the day to work on their religious knowledge and increase their ‎spiritual status.”‎

At the end of his speech, he answered the questions of the seminarians and teachers of the ‎Islamic Seminary of Amir al-Muminin.‎

It is worth noting that the Islamic Seminary of Amir al-Muminin in the holy city of Najaf is ‎being managed by Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Vahid-Khorasani, a renowned Qom-based source ‎of emulation.‎
