RNA – Speaking at a meeting of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, Ayatollah Mortaza Moqtadaei stated that the authority and resistance of the Islamic system has been achieved with the leadership of the late Imam Khomeyni and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] and said, “Wherever we resist, we have been victorious, and wherever we have been passive, we have been left behind.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom continued, “Humanity feels that the maximum preparedness to defend the Islamic system at various levels of the young, brave and selfless people has been achieved, as was the case in the eight-year-long Imposed War [Iran-Iraq War] against Iran.”
Emphasizing on the preparedness of the Iranian people against the conspiracies of the enemies of the Islamic Revolution, he stated, “If the enemies make the slightest mistake, the Iranian people will stand against them with the same quality as at the beginning of the Revolution and the Sacred Defence era [Iran-Iraq War] and will impose a scandalous defeat against them.”
Referring to the duties of the clergy in regard to the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Moqtadaei stated, “The clergy must not give pretexts for abuse to the enemies of Islam because one of the current goals of the enemies is to weaken the clergy and to create divisions and differences between the people and the clergy.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom further criticized the statements made against the Islamic Seminary from within the seminaries and universities and said, “Sometimes some people within the Islamic Seminary or universities express content against the Islamic Seminary and question the achievements of the Islamic Seminary in an unfair manner and ignore its services.”
He stated that the statements expressed in the sensitive platforms of the Islamic system must be based on thought and reason and expressed in a documented manner, “The enemies are seeking to take the weaknesses of the Islamic system. Therefore, the enemies must not be given an excuse.”
Ayatollah Moqtadaei stressed on the simplicity of the clergy and the authorities of the Islamic Revolution and said, “Every cleric who has an influence in a region and has people watching his actions and behaviour, must lead a simple life.”
He added that clergy must be sensitive to simple living and to the authority and influence of their words because in the event of the destruction of the power of the clergy, the fall of the Islamic Seminaries will be certain.
