Rasa – Referring to the seditious efforts of certain individuals to rekindle the sedition of 2009, Ayatollah Sa’idi said, “A major part of today’s difficulties and hardships are rooted in the incompetence of the followers of the seditionists’ line in the country’s administration.” RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi offered his condolences the death of Ayatollah Sayyed Mahmoud Hashemi-Shahroudi, a leading figure in Iran’s Islamic system, and said, “The passionate presence of the people in his funeral ceremony and his burial alongside the sources of emulation and scholars in the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah signifies the lofty status and position of this renowned jurisprudent in the protection of the Islamic Republic.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah also commemorated the anniversary of the epic of the 9th of Dey [December 30] and said, “The 9th of Dey is the day of insight and covenant of the ummah with wilayah (guardianship). In Qom, the days between the 9th and 19th of Dey [December 28-January 9] are called the ‘Ten Days of Insight’ and every year, the people of Qom on the 19th of Dey have the grace to visit the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei].”
The 9th of Dey marks the anniversary of the end of several months of unrest which followed the announcement of the results of the 2009 presidential elections.
He said, “It’s suggested that in the whole country, these ten days known as the ‘Ten Days of Insight’ were named with the purpose of explaining the objectives of the system and recognizing the enemies with the objective of raising insight among society. The youth must be aware of the situation in the name of revolutionary capital.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi stated, “The 9th of Dey is a show of political and religious zeal in defending the Islamic system and Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent] and in confronting its enemies and their complex conspiracies. The 9th of Dey isn’t merely an incident and epic at a particular time but if the enemies seek to replicate the sedition, they must know that the people will always be on the scene with a divine, political, and social duty. With the creation of another 9th of Dey epic, they will be put in their place in any guise, position and place.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] in Qom added, “The seditionists of 2009 have tried to reinvent themselves in the country’s administrative layers. Many of the problems and livelihood difficulties of the people today and the high costs are rooted in the incompetence of the followers of the seditionists’ line in the country’s administration.”
He emphasized, “The economy derived from trust in enemies hasn’t only failed to pass through the American sanctions but the economy and livelihood of the people has been entrapped in the spider web of the complicated sedition of the withdrawal of the United States from the JCPOA and gratitude of the Europeans. For the time being, these individuals have turned to the words of the Europeans to solve the problems that people have been experiencing.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi said that it’s the duty of the people to defend Islam, the Revolution and the objectives of Imam Khomeyni and the martyrs and noted, “People must always declare their innocence from the line of disbelief, hypocrisy and sedition and the Front of the Believers and Revolutionaries must be strengthened and supported. We must stand against the enemies in defence of the principle of Wilayat al-Faqih and the Supreme Leader with all of our might.”
He said, “On this path, we must not be afraid of the labels and blame of the admonishers so that the grounds for the global rule of the Imam of the Time [Imam al-Mahdi] is provided.”
