RNA – A group of Sunni Muslim scholars and academics from the African continent, including Shaykh Asadullah Mualah (al-Ghalib), the Grand Mufti of Zambia, and Shaykh Muhammad-Sadiq Kajandi, the Grand Mufti of Burundi, were invited by the “Centre for Communications and International Affairs of the Islamic Seminary” to visit the Islamic Republic Iran.
While in the country, the African scholars visited Golestan province, and in addition to visiting some of the religious schools, cultural centres and Quranic centres in the predominantly Sunni province, they met with scholars and Shi’ah and Sunni clerics.
Western propaganda against Iran is pure falsehood
Shaykh Mualah, the Grand Mufti of Zambia, met with the clergy, teachers and students of the Siraj al-Minbar Seminary in Bandar-e Torkman, wherein he expressed his satisfaction with his trip in Iran, and in particular, his trip to Golestan province, and offered his appreciation for their hospitality on the axis of unity around the Prophet Muhammad and the Holy Quran.
Referring to the attacks and propaganda against Iran, he said, “During our trip to Iran, we saw that the misleading publicity of the Western countries against the Islamic Republic is pure falsehood.”
The Grand Mufti of Zambia called the Islamic Republic of Iran the flagship of the unity of the Islamic ummah in the world, and stated, “In Iran, all live under the Islamic flag.”
Shaykh Mualah also advised the seminarians to use every second of the opportunities they have for religious studies and service to Islam and Muslims and not to waste their time.
Unity is the only way to overcome the enemies
Shaykh Kajandi, the Grand Mufti of Burundi, expressed satisfaction with his trip in Iran and stressing the necessity of Islamic unity and solidarity, considered the only way to confront the conspiracies and plans of the enemies is through the unity and approximation of Islamic denominations.
He also stressed the need for mutual attention and added, “The Islamic ummah must confront the enemies in order to overcome the current problems around the axis of the great Prophet Muhammad and the Holy Quran.”
