RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Abdullah al-Salah, the head of the Islamic Action Society, referred to Saudi efforts to further the normalization of relations between the Arab and Zionist countries and the visit of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad ibn Salman, to some of these Arab countries in order to lay the groundwork for the normalization of relations between Riyadh and Tel Aviv.
The Bahraini Shi’ah scholar referred to the link between ibn Salman’s visit to Manamah and the increasing acceleration of some Arab countries to normalize relations with the Zionist regime and the possibility of a visit by the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, Benjamin Netanyahu to Bahrain and said, “Recently, we have seen numerous attempts to normalize relations with the Zionist regime through open trips and visits because the Zionists know that the Gulf countries need them and for this reason, not only do they appease them but also through open meetings and normalization of relations.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Salah added, “They want to take privileges from these countries. Therefore, one of the goals of ibn Salman’s visit to Bahrain is to invite the Al Khalifah regime to normalize relations with the Zionist regime because ibn Salman went to countries that Riyadh has influence over so that their rulers, including Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and even Tunisia, in spite of the popular opposition in the country, align themselves with Saudi Arabia to normalize their relations with this regime.”
He spoke about Washington’s partial retreat from the involvement of ibn Salman in the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoqji and the coincidence of this retreat with ibn Salman’s visit to Manamah. The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has gambled on ibn Salman and tries to appease him and gain Saudi Arabia’s wealth. As long as he can easily appease Saudi Arabia, he tries to declare his positions in support of Al Saud and defend ibn Salman and is ready to retreat from the issue of his involvement in the killing of Khashoqji but now, Trump is under pressure from the House of Representatives, both by the Republicans and the Democrats, because of the relationship between Trump and Saudi Arabia, he is under pressure because they are not willing to influence the relations between Trump and Riyadh, especially with ibn Salman, on the situation in the United States and its interests.
