RNA – Along with a group of Sunni scholars, Shaykh Bilal Sa’id Sha’ban, the secretary-general of the Islamic Unification Movement of Lebanon, spoke at Tehran’s Sadeqiyeh Mosque and delivered a speech to the public on November 25th.
In his speech, Shaykh Sha’ban emphasized on the necessity of protecting and strengthening Islamic unity and increasing cooperation and said, “The diversity of ethnic, skin colours, manners and customs is a divine blessing and leads to our strength, therefore, it should not become a problem.”
The Lebanese Sunni scholar emphasized, “The religion of Islam has greatly emphasized on Islamic and human unity and the enemies focus on the division of Muslims into Shi’ah and Sunni in the opposite direction.”
Shaykh Sha’ban demanded that any sort of religious sedition be countered and argued, “The division of Muslims and the invitation of them toward dissension and conflict are among the goals of the enemies and we must stand against them.”
