RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers at Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Alireza Arafi offered his congratulations on the upcoming birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad and the occasion of Islamic Unity Week and stated, “More than ever before, the Islamic ummah is thirsty for unity and needs convergence and cooperation because the enemies exploit our disunity and unfounded divisions to attack the Islamic ummah, plundered our resources and occupied our territories and the al-Aqsa Mosque.”
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran stated that the enemies have threatened sanctions, threats and sedition against the Islamic ummah in order to carry out their goals and pointed out, “The Islamic ummah has everything it needs to obtain greatness and build a civilization but now, the illness of ethnic, sectarian and religious differences have fallen upon us and has denigrated our era.”
He said that the message of the birth anniversary of the Prophet of God, Islamic Unity Week, the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Resistance Front and the martyrs is the return to unity and stressed, “Therefore, we have to abandon the Takfiri ideology and extremism and we must bring our hearts close together toward each other and emphasize our common principles. Islamic coexistence must preside over the Islamic ummah. However, this doesn’t mean that someone desists from following the essential elements of his religion.”
Ayatollah Arafi stressed that the Islamic Revolution, the Iranian people, the seminaries and the great sources of emulation emphasize and confirm the message of the unity and solidarity of the Islamic ummah. The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] has always emphasized on Islamic unity and he is one of its pioneers.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said, “On the upcoming anniversary of the fortieth anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, strong efforts and complicated plots are being planned made by the enemies to exhaust the celebration of the anniversary of the glorious Islamic Revolution. For example, they seek to exonerate the oppressive Pahlavi regime, conceal the services and achievements of the Islamic system and exonerate the United States and Israel. On the internet, they are attempting to present the Islamic system as full of corruption, depravity and dependency.”
He continued, “The way to confront the plots of the enemies is to unravel the truths of the past for the current generation and our officials are pioneering the fight against corruption and they are aware of the suffering of the people and are trying to resolve the problems. We have documentation of progress and economic guidance but we face economic weaknesses.”
Ayatollah Arafi referred to the recent victories of the Palestinian resistance and said, “The Zionist regime was unable to resist the rockets of the Islamic Resistance in the Gaza Strip and they retreated. They realized that they must either surrender to the law of reason and end their usurpation of Palestine or the chain of attacks by the Islamic Resistance will continue. God-willing, within the next 25 years, this regime will be destroyed.”
The member of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution said, “A lot has been said about Israel’s ‘Iron Dome’ but out of the 500 missiles fired by the Islamic Resistance, they could only stop 100 of them which shows that the Zionist regime’s power is fragile and they cannot remain in the face of the Islamic Resistance and will surely disappear.”
Referring to the chain dangers of Western officials and the President of the United States, Donald Trump, His Eminence said, “Trump is still defending Muhammad ibn Salman [Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia] from the [Khashoqji] scandal that swept the world and also defends the invasion and oppression of Yemen. The Americans no longer have any honour left in the world because they are unfaithful, tyrants and bloodthirsty and have blood on their hands.”
Ayatollah Arafi added, “We mustn’t attach ourselves to the enemies, they are hated in the world and will be defeated. In their latest report, the IAEA has concluded that Iran is fully abiding to its commitments under the JCPOA but this is also has limits. European officials are coming to Iran but they haven’t solved the issue of the sanctions so far. Recently, the British Foreign Secretary [Jeremy Hunt] came to Iran to rant about issues that cannot be accepted by the Iranian nation.”
In conclusion, he stressed, “The authorities must stand with power, wisdom and courage against the attacks by the enemies. The Europeans must either speak the truth and stand up to the United States or know that our patience has a limit. We hope that the officials will be more vigilant and pay greater attention.”
