RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Ali Abbasi, the ‎new dean of al-Mustafa International University, referred to the history of the founding of ‎the Islamic and university-style seminary for non-Iranian students based in Qom and stated, ‎‎“al-Mustafa International University is a academic and seminary institution that, with the ‎guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei], ‎combines two educational and seminary organizations – the Islamic Seminaries Abroad and ‎the World Centre for Islamic Studies – and was established in 2007.”‎

 

His Eminence explained that today, this great academic institution has been active in various ‎places, both inside and outside Iran and added, “al-Mustafa International University serves ‎the development and dissemination of the divine teachings of the Ahlul-Bayt and ‎disseminates the spiritual, rational, and spiritual message of Islam to the whole world.”‎

 

Hujjat al-Islam Abbasi spoke about the success of al-Mustafa International University in ‎recent decades and the continuation of the progress of this institution under its new ‎management and, “al-Mustafa International University has had many successes to date and ‎will continue with divine assistance on this same correct path.”‎

 

He expressed his evaluation of management of Ayatollah Alireza Arafi during his tenure as ‎the dean of al-Mustafa International University and stated, “Certainly, one of the reasons for ‎the success of al-Mustafa International University was due to the exceptional and unique ‎management of Ayatollah Arafi, such that the name of this great academic institution has ‎become associated in the world with Ayatollah Arafi and with divine assistance, the same ‎policies and strategies of the past will continue.”‎

 

al-Mustafa International University has currently over 45,000 students, half of them studying ‎in the school’s campuses in Iran. 40,000 students have graduated since 2007. ‎
