RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large crowd of believers at the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn in the Iraqi city of Karbala, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ahmad al-Safi criticized the clashes between the Iraqi tribes which led to the occurrence of various events and addressed them, saying, “Why do you embark on a means of falsehood and shed the blood of innocent men, women, children and the elderly through one instance of suspicion?”
The representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani added, “Some believe that such works show their manliness but oppression and the creation of desires and horror in the hearts of the families and tribes are not manly. One must contemplate and not be influenced by the deceit of others who promote falsehood and grudge in the pursuit of the shedding of human blood.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Safi called for people to be committed to wisdom so that they aren’t regretful and added, “People must act on the basis of reason and contemplation and embark on the means of truth instead of the means of falsehood.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Hadhrat Abbas stressed that people must be in wise in their promises and action and avoid hasty actions.
Arguing that some of the wrong actions would be the cause of human death, he stated, “Any wrong action cannot be restored and reversed, and no one knows at what moment he will bid this world farewell.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Safi said, “Unfortunately, the reason for the clashes between the tribes is due to gain positions sooner. Those who have embarked on a false means must not blame anyone but themselves.”
It must be noted that in recent years, the holy shrines of Imam al-Husayn and Hadhrat Abbas have mediated a lot of conflicts among various tribes in Iraq. Unfortunately, because of the fact that the tribes are armed, everyday, we witness the killing of innocent people in Iraq for various reasons.
