RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi referred to the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad and Islamic Unity Week and said, “With the passing of 1,400 years, more than ever before, we need a restoration of Islam, the same Islam that our prophet was the source of.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah added, “One of the blessings of our Islamic Revolution was the expression and the annunciation of pure Islam. Pure Islam and the school of the Ahlul-Bayt have overcome contemporary ignorance and the hegemonic system. The next century is the century of pure and peaceful Muhammadan Islam and the rule of the reformers of the world and the leadership of Imam al-Mahdi.”
He added, “In the era of the occultation of Imam al-Mahdi, Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent] will be a step towards the revival of pure Islam and the foundation of the formation of a government and the rule of the divine leadership in the world.”
Stating that there are four characteristics of pure Islam as the school of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sa’idi said, “The fourth characteristic of pure Islam is Muhammadan justice and the negation of oppression. Western civilization has lost its intellectual foundations and is in decline.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] in Qom stated, “The United States is a symbol of Western civilization and all of its weakening and declining foundations have become manifest. Liberal democracy was deployed to change humanity but has lost its attractiveness and humanity has become weary and lost and is at the height of decline and the crisis of identity. Humanity is looking for a school of thought that enlightens knowledge and faith based on the restoration of nature in the contemporary world and this school is the school of pure Muhammadan Islam and the Islam of the Ahlul-Bayt.”
He said, “The decline of the United States is due to its injustice and plunder of the wealth of the people of the world and the region. The decline of spirituality and identity in families is another sign of the decline of the United States. In this country the ugliest moral and social vices occur and society is being destroyed. Due to this situation, the world and humanity are now exposed to destruction and decline and for this reason, the tendency towards spirituality in the West has grown exponentially. Hence, the letter of the Supreme Leader to the youth of the West means that they can strengthen their insights on Islam.”
Ayatollah Sa’idi stressed that the Islamic Revolution, which on the basis of pure Islam, suggests that the clear religion of Islam is a prescription for the treatment of the problems facing humanity and the liberation of humanity from the yoke of the colonialist and tyrannical powers. In its first decade, the Islamic Revolution succeeded in destroying Marxism as one of the world’s leading ideologies and in its fourth decade, the Islamic Revolution has been able to combat the strong enemies of the claws of the Western liberal democracy based on the theory of resistance.”
His Eminence said that this week, we saw the Palestinian resistance forces target a military bus belonging to the Zionist regime, which killed several members of the military force of the regime and the firing hundreds of rockets into the territory occupied by the regime. These attacks imposed a huge defeat on them and one of the aftershocks of these victories was the compulsory resignation of Avigdor Lieberman, the Zionist regime’s Defence Minister.
“This demonstrated, in the words of the Supreme Leader in 2016, that the collapse of Israel is definitive and that Israel will not exist in 25 years,” he argued.
Ayatollah Sa’idi said, “The authorities must work to confront the economic and media warfare by the enemies and attempt to defeat the sanctions. It’s not the suitable for the authorities to engage in minor and marginal issues, such as the issue of the presence of women at sport stadiums, which the seminaries and sources of emulation have given their opinions on many times.”
He stressed it’s expected that diplomatic officials speak from positions of wisdom and expediency in a way that doesn’t give pretext to the enemies.
