RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Askar Dirbaz, the representative of the people of West Azerbaijan province in the Assembly of Experts, said that the fall of the United States can be viewed from different dimensions and said, “The analysis of the emergence and decline of superpowers over the course of history, the study of the [Quranic] verses, traditions and laws that God has given to human societies, the comparison of them to the society of the United States and attention to the current state of the United States are among the ways in which the debate over the discussion of the decline of the United States can be explained with precision.”
Referring to the analysis of the rise and fall of superpowers throughout history, the dean of the University of Qom said, “The most important basis of power that exists in human societies is the insight and attitude that exists in human thought and we believe that God created everyone on the basis of divine innate nature. Therefore, that power can overcome others that are on the path of the divine innate nature, otherwise people won’t accept it.”
Hujjat al-Islam Dirbaz argued that the basis of Western thought is on liberalism and said, “This thought doesn’t pay attention to the past and future and only reflects on material personal pleasure. On this basis, liberalism is a kind of thought, the origin of contradiction is between human beings and as a result of these conflicts and controversies, the continuation of liberal thought is challenged.”
His Eminence added, “Liberal thought is the basis of conflict between human societies and therefore, humanity denies it and the United States can no longer claim to be a superpower and a leader.”
He said, “In addition, today, given the power of the media and its influence among other human societies, the United States can’t afford to deceive people because everyone knows that this country produces weapons of mass destruction and for this reason, they deny it.”
Hujjat al-Islam Dirbaz referred to the turmoil of American sovereignty and said, “The kind of American rule that is capitalism and which has exploited more than 90 percent of its people has created a wave of dissatisfaction and this can create and intensify the cause of the decline of the United States.”
The Iranian cleric pointed to the Quranic verses, traditions and laws that God has given to human societies and said, “The flimsy power that the superpowers have isn’t only not in the interest of humanity, but it’s also to the detriment of the nations and therefore, the life of these powers is like a bubble and undoubtedly, they’re collapsing.”
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Dirbaz noted, “In comparison with to the current situation in the United States over the past few decades, we find that public opinion among many is hatred for the United States. With a little field research, we will find that the United States is in decline and the words of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] about the decline of the United States is completely in line with reality.”
