RNA – Ayatollah Hoseyn Mazaheri has met with Hujjat al-Islam Rahmatollah Sadeghi, the representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the Saheb al-Zaman Brigades of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC).
Speaking during the meeting, Ayatollah Mazaheri, said, “The Basij are the backbone of the Islamic system. The system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is the same as the Islam that has always nurtured the Basij in the past forty years of Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent]. Therefore, it’s the highest honour for the Basij to be the backbone of Wilayat al-Faqih.”
Referring to the recommendations of the late Imam Khomeyni on the recognition of responsibility and practice, the head of the Islamic Seminary of Esfahan added, “The representative of the Supreme Leader in the Saheb al-Zaman Brigades of the IRGC must always consider the advice of Imam Khomeyni and create alliances and brotherhood in the assemblies and avoid dissension which destroys everything. As much as is possible, we must seek to resolve dissension and produce good creations in the assemblies that satisfy Imam al-Mahdi.”
He said, “It’s upsetting that the words of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] aren’t heard and that the expression of admiration is sufficient. However, it’s not that our expression of admiration is a lie – our expression of admiration is real but this recognition of responsibility and the practice of responsibility and listening to his words has been greatly harmed.”
Ayatollah Mazaheri stressed, “The love of people for the system is the same if, if another referendum was to be held, the people will give the same vote to the system they gave the first time.”
Also speaking during this meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Sadeghi said, “We and our colleagues, just as in the past, act on the basis of our covenants and always support Wilayat al-Faqih and we will remain steadfast in this regard.”
He stated that the enemies were defeated despite all their propaganda and efforts on November 4th and said, “On this day, the people came to the streets [to participate in rallies] despite all the difficulties and adversities that we have witnessed recently and this is the result of the people’s trust in the system.”
November 4th marks the anniversary of the seizure of the American embassy in Tehran by Iranian students belonging to the Muslim Student Followers of the Imam’s Line in 1979.
Hujjat al-Islam Sadeghi said, “The generations of today are more supportive of the Islamic Revolution the first generation of the revolution, and this is clearly seen in the orders of the Supreme Leader.”
