Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri

RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Quds ‎Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri said that the leaders must defend ‎the oppressed and not allow the oppression of the people and added, “This issue is ‎necessary for the realization of social justice and that the managers of the Islamic society ‎must defend the rights of the oppressed.”‎

The member of the board of directors of the Assembly of Experts added that the ‎institutionalization of oppression in society is a major obstacle to progress in all fields and ‎doesn’t allow the implementation of Islamic and social justice to be realized and noted, ‎‎“There must be no oppression in the Islamic society and the rights of the oppressed must ‎be taken from the oppressors.”‎

He noted that about two million Iranians participated in the Arba’in pilgrimage and that the ‎many of the enemies made disappointing remarks and said that the glory of Arba’in was ‎reduced but the people created another epic and Arba’in was a very meaningful and great ‎movement. ‎

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri stated that foreign media networks wanted to boycott the Arba’in ‎pilgrimage just as they did in previous years, saying, “The media were forced to break their ‎silence in the face of the greatness of this pilgrimage wherein the pilgrims came from dozens ‎of countries but another conspiracy was initiated and they claimed that the pilgrimage was ‎influenced by a government, this is a false claim because the Arba’in pilgrimage is a ‎spontaneous and popular movement.”‎

In another part of his speech, the member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom ‎referred to the forty-year-old challenge between Iran and the United States and said, ‎‎“Despite all the threats, this year, the Iranian people showed their greatness to the world on ‎the November 5th. The imperialist powers are seeking a unipolar world and to dominate ‎over nations. Nations can surrender to the American bullying and allow plundering. In the ‎region, there are those who have lost their identity and consider the United States as the ‎angel of their salvation.”‎

He said that for the past forty years, the brave people of Iran have stood against all kinds ‎of sanctions, plots and bullying by the enemies and said, “The people of Iran don’t forget ‎the numerous plots by the United States and the arrogant powers. We have been under ‎sanctions since 1980 and today, the enemies have launched a media and psychological war ‎in order to create pessimism and disappointment and separate people from the Islamic ‎system.”‎

Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri stressed that the enemies have created problems with the ‎sanctions but today we have progressed in various fields that have astonished the world. ‎The United States must know that the Iranian people aren’t willing to humiliate themselves to ‎the will of the United States.‎

His Eminence added that American President Donald Trump announced November 5th the re-‎imposition of the “toughest” sanctions ever against Iran’s banking and energy sectors with ‎the aim of cutting off its oil sales and crucial exports as the peak of sanctions and said, ‎‎“[Such remarks were] mostly psychological. Officials must pay attention to domestic ‎capacities, maximize the use of sanctions and reduce dependence and reliance on oil.”‎

He said, “The enemies had threatened to bring Iran’s oil exports to zero but according to ‎one of its journalists, the United States has circumvented the sanctions and eight countries ‎have been given exemptions, which marked the beginning of the retreat of the United ‎States, and we must wait for the next retreats.”‎
