RNA – General Sayyed Mohammad-Taqi Shahcheraghi, the new commander of the Ali ibn Abi Talib Brigades of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Qom province, met with Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli at the Isra International Foundation for the Study of Revelation in Qom.
During the meeting, Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli emphasized on the importance of protecting the borders of the country as much as possible and stated, “Both the Law Enforcement Force of the Islamic Republic of Iran [NAJA] and the guards of the IRGC and other armed forces of the country must strengthen the borders of the country more than ever before, both in terms of equipment and in terms of information.”
The prominent teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom added, “During one of the wars, when Imam Ali handed the flag to his son, Muhammad ibn Hanafiyyah, he told him, ‘don’t only see the enemies that have stood in front of you but look at the thoughts of the enemies in their war rooms in Damascus.’ Today, the war rooms of our enemies are administered by the arrogant powers and the Zionists, although their domestic mercenaries carry out their plots. Thus, until we recognize the enemies’ way of thinking, we will not be victorious in war.”
Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli stated, “We must recognize the methods that the enemies use to infiltrate us, constantly monitor the internet, use the natives in the forces patrolling the border regions and act vigilantly. God has commanded us to always be vigilant: ‘Oh you who have faith! Take your precautions…’ [Quran 4:71] Protecting these regions also requires constant and daily effort.”
His Eminence noted, “The enemies have military bases in all of our neighbouring countries and in fact, we are now in the middle of a minefield but we are protected due to the blessings of the Quran and the Holy Family of the Prophet Muhammad.”
In another part of his speech, he said, “If there are no differences between the people and they are united, they will be victorious. A good leader is only one side of the case, even if it’s a leader such as Imam Ali. As long as people aren’t on the scene and don’t unite, defeat is certain.”
Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli continued, “During the Sacred Defence [Iran-Iraq War], everyone would have done whatever they needed to do and would do anything they could to help the front but today this spirit has been weakened. One of the signs of this is the recent hoarding that we have witnessed. The spirit of empathy and unity among the people must be strengthened by relying on the Quran and the Holy Family of the Prophet.”
The prominent exegetist of the Holy Quran emphasized, “Due to divine favour, this country has everything and it can be much better with self-sufficiency and by not depending on imports and by making use of the youth, the country can become better.”
