RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Quds Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri referred to the Arba’in pilgrimage and said, “Those who go to Arba’in, according to the last will of the martyrs, attend the pilgrimage upon the intention of one of the martyrs. This valuable movement is a sign of faith in God and belief, love and affection for the Ahlul-Bayt.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom added, “In these conditions, Arba’in isn’t exclusive to Shi’ahs and perhaps this year, the number of Iranian pilgrims will reach two million despite all the problems that our people are facing. This is an indication of the power of the Shi’ah and Islamic ummah. In news received from previous years, pilgrims who belonged to other denominations and religions were among the raging waves of pilgrims who travelled on foot [to the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn in Karbala].”
He said, “The enemies are looking to sabotage [us] but we hope that with the sympathy we see from our own people, we hope that the enemies’ conspiracies will be thwarted.”
Referring to the terrorist attack in the southeastern Iranian border town of Mirjaveh on October 16th, Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said, “Fourteen of our border guards were abducted and we demand that the officials, with the cooperation of the Pakistani government, work to have them released. The enemies have a program throughout our country and our officials must be more alert in this regard.”
The secretary of the Supreme Council of the Seminary referred to the killing of Jamal Khashoqji, a Saudi journalist who was an American citizen, and said, “This crime was very humiliating. When God wants to scandalize someone, in will done in such a way that their work will be the cause of their own scandal. We’re looking forward to seeing what human rights organizations will do in this regard. Those who quickly issued statements against us must also respond to this tragic murder.”
He said, “Our people have found this mentality that, like dozens of other financial issues, the solution to this issue will also be found and the prosecuting countries may introduce an innocent person to cover this crime. The president of the United States [Donald Trump] said that we don’t give up such a large amount of revenue due to the actions of one individual. That is, he wants to suggest that the Saudi government isn’t aware of this crime.”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri has said, “Sometimes people are fascinated by the phrases and expressions of the enemies. We must not be fooled by the statements that are apparently wrapped up in the papers of the enemies. This is the reality of the United States and [the claimants of] human rights. The smallest issue that occurs in our country is falsely shouted from the microphones of [the claimants of] human rights but in the face of these crimes, they are always silent, but due to divine grace, we will stand against all these threats.”
Referring to the speech of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution to a large gathering of Basij volunteer forces and senior military officials at Tehran’s Azadi Stadium, the member of the board of directors of the Assembly of Experts said, “The elite are the treasures of the country. In the situation when the enemies seek to bring about the collapse of the country, the Supreme Leader discussed three valuable actions. The first glorious action was the meeting with the elite and the issue of developing the Iranian-Islamic model of progress. Those who see the dream of the collapse of the Iranian system of government will also see the strength of the country, which has determined the pattern for the next fifty years.”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri stated, “We are considering major prospects and the conspiracies of the enemies will not create any harm in this regard. Their behaviour and plans are a strong response to the enemies of the Islamic Revolution.”
