Ahmad Jannati

RNA – Speaking at the beginning of today’s meeting of the Assembly of Experts, Ayatollah ‎Ahmad Jannati expressed appreciation for the timely, decisive and courageous action of the ‎Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in response to the September 22nd terrorist attack in the ‎southwestern Iranian city Ahvaz.‎

On October 1st, the IRGC rained surface-to surface ballistic missiles on the strongholds of the ‎Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in Syria eastern governorate of Dayr al-Zawr. The surface-to-‎surface missiles killed and injured a large number of Takfiri terrorists and ringleaders of the ‎September 22nd attack.‎

The secretary of the Guardian Council argued that the strong response to terrorists operating ‎near American bases showed that no aggressor against Iran’s security was immune to attack ‎and stressed, “This process, while deterring and securing the country, was a serious warning ‎to all terrorists and their supporters.” ‎

In other remarks, Ayatollah Jannati welcomed the decreasing exchange rate and the price of ‎gold coins over the past few days and said, “The effect of falling prices on the daily lives of ‎the people must come to light and the general needs of the people, especially food ‎products, must be provided at affordable prices, while our export process must not be ‎damaged.”‎

In conclusion, His Eminence pointed out some of the problems facing the dear and ‎hardworking truck drivers of Iran and added, “The non-political protest of the truck drivers ‎who are calling for higher wages in the face of the increased costs of equipment and spare ‎parts must be investigated and the government is obliged to quickly plan and make a ‎decision in regard to this issue.”‎
