RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, the representative of the people of Khuzestan province in the Assembly of Experts, condemned the terrorist attack on a military parade in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz and offered his condolences to the survivors of the attack, saying, “This Takfiri terrorist criminal act which was committed by the enemies of Islam, the Islamic Revolution and Iran, which occurred during a military parade in Ahvaz, was perpetrated by American, Zionist and Saudi mercenaries in order to defeat the Islamic Resistance Front.”
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom added that this criminal act occurred in the aftermath of the participation of millions of people in Iran and Khuzestan in the creation of the epic of mourning over [the martyrdom of] Imam al-Husayn, the unity of the people in defence of Islam, the Islamic Revolution and Iran and to undermine the greatness and authority of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic.”
He argued that this cowardly, blind and ineffective crime is a sign of the desperation of the enemies and said, “Just as the enemies didn’t achieve any results in similar attacks in Ahvaz in 2005 and 2006, these crimes won’t achieve any result and they cannot do anything.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi added, “Although the martyrdom of the people, our compatriots and the forces of believers are difficult for us, these martyrdoms will make people more discerning, aware, awake and present on the scene with greater unity and solidarity.”
His Eminence invited the people of Khuzestan to participate in a passionate and epic manner in the funerals of the martyrs of the attack and added, “By participating in the funerals of these martyrs in a magnificent manner, the people of Khuzestan and Ahvaz will create an Ashura epic and will demonstrate the brotherhood and unity of all the people.”
He said, “The thousands of wilayah-supporting Arab people of Khuzestan who participated in the mourning ceremonies of Muharram under the slogans of ‘Labbayk Ya Husayn’ and ‘Hayat Minna al-Dhillah’ will deliver a firm blow to the arrogant powers, the United States, the Zionists, the House of Saud and their domestic mercenaries by participating in the funerals of these martyrs in a magnificent manner.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi noted that unfortunately, these criminals have seditious satellite networks which are supported by European countries who are claimants of human rights. “Through these networks, the terrorists constantly make threats and demonstrate their crimes. Human rights defenders must stand up to these criminals,” he said.
He condemned the terrorist and Takfiri criminal acts as crimes against humanity and added that these crimes were related to the defeated mercenaries and said, “Two of the Takfiri terrorists were consigned to hell and one was arrested.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi argued that all supporters and designers of this criminal act will certainly be arrested by the intelligence and security forces and will be prosecuted for their crimes and emphasized, “The response to this blind and ineffective terrorist act is an iron fist and a blow to the arrogant powers and mercenaries of the House of Saud and the presence of a million people in integrated ranks in the funeral procession of the martyrs and in the fostering of brotherhood is unity and integrity.”
