RNA - In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency ,Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Hasan Kaviani, the cultural and educational director of the Martyrs’ Affairs and Veterans’ Affairs Department, said that the economic problems that exist today in Iran are very simultaneous processes and stated, “The problems facing society are extensive problems. For this reason, these issues must be taken into account from different areas.”
The Iranian cleric added that a lack of resources and incorrect use of available resources, increased consumption and extraordinary changes in the lifestyle of society, foreign and mischievous movements, a lack of belief in domestic capacities and reliance on external faculties are among the factors have created economic problems and poor living standards in the country today.
He pointed out, “With doubt, those issues which have been mentioned as the cause of the economic problems in the country have all come about because of the failure to act in a proper manner and the lack of attention to the policies of the Resistance Economy.”
Hujjat al-Islam Kaviani emphasized that we must believe that the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran would use any means to harm the Islamic system of government and said, “It’s natural that in such a situation, the economic system of the country must be shaped by a resistance approach and all organs of the country must participate in this war.”
His Eminence emphasized the necessity of implementing the Resistance Economy, stated, “The primary solution to the crisis and the first action in the war is resistance and the subsequent actions must be defined on the basis of the quality of the formation of resistance.”
He said, “There are many differences between austerity economics and the Resistance Economy because there are essentially no resources in austerity economics. A family that has lost its money no longer has any resources to manage life. For this reason, they need to reduce their costs and must implement austerity economics.”
Hujjat al-Islam Kaviani continued, “In contrast, a Resistance Economy refers to a society that has resources and needs to protect its resources and use it in a timely manner in the face of economic problems.”
The Iranian official emphasized that for many years, the enemies have targeted Iran’s social capital and said, “The enemies is seeking to reduce and eventually eliminate Iran’s social capital by creating a psychological and economic war.”
He said, “Unfortunately, the actions of the enemies and some of the ignorant friends over the past few years have led to the weakening of social capital in the country. Nevertheless, the people have proved, with all their shortcomings in difficult situations, that they are always supporting the Islamic system of government.”
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Kaviani stated that the weakening of the foundations and pillars of social capital is the most important reason that the current circumstances facing society must given attention and said, “The problems that have arisen in social capital must be quickly amended and restored because if such capital is lost, no one else can replace it.”
