RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Hasan Alemi, the representative of the people of Iran’s Khorasan Razavi province in the Assembly of Experts, emphasized that the three branches of the government must strive to resolve the country’s economic problems as quickly as possible and noted, “The government is elected by the people and through the election process and after the election of a government by the people and the its confirmation by the Supreme Leader, it is permissible from a legal and religious point of view.”
The Iranian cleric and politician added that if the president and authorities were to defy the divine commandments or be indifferent to the people and not properly carry out their duties as representatives, they would definitely be in a position of oppression and inaccuracy.
Arguing that the forces do not have the same duties in terms of performance, Ayatollah Alemi said, “We are currently witnessing an economic crisis in the country and the economic problems of the country are in the scope and functions of the government that must be addressed by the government. Of course, it is true that the function and position of the Islamic Consultative Assembly is to approve laws and then to monitor and protect them but the first step and the principle of the work lies with the government.”
His Eminence also said, “The judiciary also has the duty to support and defend the law and to enforce all legal procedures against the perpetrators in law enforcement and these acts of law must be in place to support the right of the people.”
The cost of gold coins have drastically increased and the Iranian Rial has lost much of its value in recent weeks.
The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei has said that part of these problems are caused by internal imprudence and mismanagement, irrespective of the sanctions imposed on the country by the United States, after President Donald Trump unilaterally pulled out of the landmark 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear deal signed between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries on May 8, 2018.
