RNA – In a press release, Shaykh Maher Hammoud, the chairman of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, said that the destruction of the Zionist regime awaits Israel following the adoption of the “Nation-State Bill” by the Israeli Knesset, which specifies the nature of the Zionist regime as the nation-state of the Jewish people.
The Lebanese Sunni cleric said that the bill would violate the religious and legal rights of the Arab-Islamic ummah and noted, “As the extent that the repression and crimes of Israel intensify and its fragile power increases, it will become closer to its end.”
Shaykh Hammoud expressed the importance of resistance in various types of operations such as knives, incendiary kites, missiles, trenches and martyrdom operations and added, “Every kind of mission that comes to us increases our insistence on resistance and announces the good tidings of the destruction of this regime.”
His Eminence said, “I say announce that the traits attributed to the Children of Israel in the Holy Quran are the same attributes of the Zionists and not the characteristics of all Jews. Our problem is with the Jews who have usurped the lands of the Muslim and supported the occupation.”
He stated, “Certainly, every verse in the Quran that blames the Jews is in fact referring to the Zionist regime, not all of the Jews in the world.”
In conclusion, Shaykh Hammoud referred to the verdict of the judge in the appeals court to acquit homosexual persons, “All the heavenly religions consider homosexuality as a crime and as forbidden and no law or judge has the right to change God’s judgement.”
A court in Lebanon has recently ruled that the country’s law does not ban homosexuality.
Israel’s parliament (Knesset) has adopted a controversial bill that declares the occupying entity “the nation–state of the Jewish people,” in what is widely criticized as an apartheid measure that could lead to discrimination against its own Arab population.
The legislation also declares that Israel is the historic homeland of the Jewish people, and that “the right to exercise national self–determination in the State of Israel is unique to the Jewish people.” It establishes Hebrew as the official language of Israel and downgrades Arabic to a language with “special status,” even though many people in Israel’s sizeable Arab minority primarily speak in Arabic. The law also asserts that Jewish settlement – without specifying where – is a national value, and promises to encourage and advance settlement efforts.
