RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon’s Sayyidah al-Zahra Complex, Ayatollah Afif al-Nablusi referred to the severing of the hands of the United States in Iran and stressed, “The era of American domination and control over the region had come to an end.”
The senior Lebanese Shi’ah cleric added, “The United States does not seek to clarify Iran’s nuclear activities or negotiate on regional issues or agree on missile issues in the nuclear negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Ayatollah al-Nablusi noted that through its behaviour and actions, the United States seeks to overthrow the ruling system in Iran and turn the Islamic Republic of Iran into a subordinate and dependent country, like in the Arab countries of the region, in order to eradicate the national wealth of the people.
Referring to the root of the hostility of United States towards the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Eminence said, “The main problem with the United States is that their hands have been cut off from interfering in the region and in the internal affairs of Iran and they have lost control, influence, and dominance.”
He stated, “The zealous and resistant Iranian nation does not accept dependence, allegiance, rule and the involvement of foreigners in their internal affairs. The people of Iran will never allow any opinion or thought to be imposed on or dictated to them.”
Referring to the upcoming anniversary of Imam Khomeyni’s death (June 3rd) and the renewal of the people’s allegiance to his aspirations, Ayatollah al-Nablusi stated, “The Iranian people remain at the forefront of the Islamic Revolution just they remain fighting against the arrogant powers of the world. Today, the arrogant powers seek to transform the Middle East into a region immersed in ignorance, violence, conflict and destruction.”
At the end of his sermon, he stressed, “Due to the blessings of the struggle and self-sacrificing warriors of the resistance, the plots of the enemies have failed and the Middle East will become a stable and secure region and prosperity and grounds for the coexistence of all ethnicities and religions will be created.”
