Iranian Cleric:
Rasa – Tehran's Provisional Friday Prayers Leader Hojjatoleslam Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard highlighted recent defeats of the US government’s policies in the Middle East region and said Washington’s hegemony is facing “a gradual collapse”.

RNA - Today, the US foreign policy is “hated” by all major powers in the world, Hojjatoleslam Aboutorabi Fard said, addressing worshipers here in Tehran on Friday.

Many of the powers do not express this hatred, but the Iranian nation is playing a pioneering role in expressing this hatred, he added.

“Today, the Americans (US officials) are perceived as criminals by the people of the world,” he said, adding, “We are witnessing the gradual collapse of the US hegemony and the increase of regional nations’ power.”

The Iranian cleric went on to say that these facts have repeatedly been acknowledged by political experts on regional issues.

“Today, the US… is receiving numbers blows from the Islamic Ummah (community) and the Islamic resistance,” Hojjatoleslam Aboutorabi Fard stated.

In recent years, the Middle East has been plagued with Takfiri terrorist groups like Daesh (ISIL or ISIS), which are believed to have been created and supported by the US and some of its Arab and Western allies.

According to Tasnim News Agancy, the terrorist groups, which claim to be Islamic but whose actions are anything but, have been committing heinous crimes not only against non-Muslims but mostly against Muslims in the region.

Iraq and Syria have been among the countries gripped by terrorism.

Iran, a close ally of the two countries, has supported their legitimate governments in their campaign against foreign-backed militancy and terrorism.
